A week in...London (continued)

Today we took the train to Salisbury to visit Stonehenge.

This part of England is green and full of sheep. And since we were there in December, it was also overcast and grey. Poor sheep.

Stonehenge hadn't changed much since I saw it in 2004...

We also visited Old Sarum, which is the site of the earliest settlement of Salisbury. Archaeologists suggest (through study of the remains of rough stone tools) that people have occupied this hilltop area of Old Sarum since Neolithic times (around 3000 BC).
We stopped by the Salisbury Cathedral as well, which has a copy of the Magna Carta.

All and all, a relaxing day!
